We’re currently looking for aLaboratory Technician to join our Operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong scientific background to work across our Anaerobic Digestion (AD) and Advanced Thermal Treatment (ATT) facilities, playing a crucial role in maintaining our compliance, performance and innovation.

About the Role

You’ll carry out skilled testing and analysis on a variety of environmental samples, from wastewater and compost to boiler chemistry and syngas. You’ll be a key part of our compliance team, using your lab skills to generate actionable insights and ensure we meet all regulatory and operational standards.

You’ll also:

  • Carry out chemical, biological and physical tests across diverse matrices
  • Monitor AD and ATT plant performance through sample analysis
  • Interpret results, flag anomalies, and advise operational teams
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and safety
  • Manage and report external analysis results
  • Support internal training and continuous improvement across the teams

What You’ll Need

  • A degree inChemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific field
  • Experience in laboratory testing, ideally within waste, water or industrial environments
  • Solid analytical and data interpretation skills
  • Confidence in using Microsoft Excel and maintaining accurate records
  • A proactive, detail-focused mindset with great communication skills
  • Experience with ISO 17025 and environmental compliance frameworks is a plus, but we value potential, precision, and a willingness to learn.
