Job description

Your mission at LINDAL

Lindal Valve Co Ltd is looking for Laboratory Technician on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract with a high potential to become permanent.
You will provide laboratory technical support and service for internal and external customers.
Assist with all activities to achieve sign off and approval of Lindal products and provide interactions required to customer’s.

  • Perform duties such as producing customer sample requests, Valve and Actuator specifications and colour matching.
  • Conduct routine laboratory testing on component compatibility.
  • Filling and gassing of aerosol samples.
  • Conduct necessary aerosol spray performance testing such as measurement of particle size, spray rates and spray patterns etc.
  • Conduct necessary mechanical testing such as stem and boss height measurement, dismantling of valves for inspection etc.
  • Prepare and maintain all documentation relating to laboratory testing activities.
  • Produce analytical data in report format for discussion or presentation as required.
  • Monitor and maintain sufficient stocks of lab consumables such as all valve components, empty aerosol cans and propellant.
  • Comply with all work instructions.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation relating to Technical Service ISO/BRC Procedures, Health and Safety, and Housekeeping.
  • Adherence to all Health and Safety standards in line with Company policy and compliance with all current legislation.
  • Support the housekeeping agenda as part of the culture of the day-to-day activities.
  • Any other tasks or duties which may be requested.


Your profile

Educated to A Level standard. Chemistry, Physical Sciences or related qualification
Excellent PC skills, Microsoft Office
Experience within a laboratory facility or similar
Good Customer Interaction skill
Excellent written and oral communication
Customer focused
Detail orientated
Problem Solving skills
Positive ‘can do’ attitude.
