Job summary

SGS in Ellesmere Port, UK, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our Oil sector testing team. The role involves preparing and running samples, recording results, and following validated procedures to ensure accurate analysis.

You should be comfortable with computers, detail oriented, and eager to learn. The position offers a permanent contract with daytime or late shift options, and a range of employee benefits.

Job Description

• Job Title - Laboratory Technician
• Job Type: Permanent
• Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm OR 2pm to 10pm (with shift allowance)

Overview of the role:

• Working within the Oil sector
• To prepare & run samples for analysis in accordance with test procedures
• Record results on Lab software systems
• Adhere to documented procedures

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has experience in working within a fast paced setting and used to working to procedures.

You will also have the following:

• High levels of attention to detail
• Ability and willingness to learn laboratory procedures
• Be able to use a computer - word / excel - inputting numbers
• Full driving license for use in the UK - Desirable
