Job summary

SGS is hiring a Laboratory Technician for a temporary 12-month position in Cambridge. You will perform sample preparation and extraction, report equipment issues, and maintain auditable records to support daily operations.

No prior lab experience or degree is required; a background in food processing and strong attention to detail are valued. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and proactive learning in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Job Description

• Job Title:Laboratory Technician
• Job Type:Temporary 12 months
• Location:Cambridge
• Hours:Sunday 12pm to 1pm & Monday to Wednesday 11.30am to 10pm

Role overview:

• Perform sample preparation and extraction following SGS-approved SOPs.
• Report any equipment or instrumentation failures to senior staff.
• Maintain organized, auditable laboratory records.
• Complete daily tasks efficiently to support operational output.
• Maintain a safe working environment, following Health & Safety protocols
