Laboratory Technician

Due to continued expansion, we're recruiting an experienced Laboratory Technician to control the effective planning and production of chemistry make up and testing requirements for our well established client.

Job Duties:

• Ensure all duties are carried out safely within the company Health & Safety requirements.
• Ensure full adherence to the Quality Management System.
• Analyse data within the production lab ensuring tanks are operating at optimum levels.
• Stock checking chemicals and ordering via Supply Chain Manager.
• Be responsible for chemistry equipment ensuring it is operating efficiently.
• Identifying issues and potential problems early so that they can be addressed to minimise impact on production.
• Ensure a high standard of housekeeping is adhered to with 5S maintained as it is rolled out through the facility.
• Ensure plant is appropriately maintained and anything not working is reported and repaired without delay.
• Attend meetings where required.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of Chemistry.
• Knowledge of metal finishing.
• Experience in handling chemicals.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.
• Strong computer skills predominantly Excel.
• Working in a production environment.
• Waste management.
• Test facility experience.

Salary: 27,664 - 29,640 Per Annum + regular overtime available.

Working hours: Monday to Thursday 6am - 4pm / Flexible.

This is a Full time, Permanent position.
