Job summary

University of Cambridge is seeking a Teaching Support Technician to join a small team providing laboratory support for undergraduate practical classes and general technical assistance for the department. The role focuses on reagent and equipment preparation during term and broader support for researchers outside term.

Applicants with A-Level Chemistry and/or Biology are preferred; prior lab experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• A-Level Chemistry or Biology (or equivalent) is advantageous.
• Experience in a laboratory environment is beneficial but not essential.
• Good communication and teamwork are essential for coordinating with teaching staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare reagents and equipment for undergraduate practical classes.
• Assist in setting out and clearing away teaching materials.
• Provide general technical support to researchers and teaching staff as required.
