Job summary

Queen Mary University of London, School of Physical and Chemical Sciences, invites applications for a Chemistry Teaching Technician. You will assist with day-to-day support of teaching laboratories, prepare and run practical chemistry classes, and provide technical advice and training to academic staff and students.

Qualifications

BSc in Chemistry or related field or extensive laboratory teaching experience.
Working knowledge of Health and Safety/COSHH regulations and implications.

Responsibilities

Assist in day-to-day support of the Chemistry Teaching Laboratories.
Prepare, set up and run practical chemistry classes.
Provide technical advice, training and troubleshooting to all users of the chemistry teaching laboratories.
Support the Teaching Laboratories Manager and Senior Teaching Associate in developing high-quality undergraduate programmes.
