Job summary

Randox Laboratories in Antrim is seeking a Laboratory Shift Manager to lead the assigned 4-on-4-off shift, ensuring testing is accurate, safe and on time. You will manage Shift Leads and analysts, drive KPIs and resolve issues in real time.

The role requires a Biomedical Science degree or equivalent lab experience, prior supervisory work, excellent communication, and adherence to ISO 17025 and related standards; HepB vaccination is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Biomedical Science, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Immunology or related Life Science, or equivalent lab experience.
• Proven experience in a clinical diagnostic or laboratory environment.
• Experience supervising or leading others.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Shift Leads and analysts, set expectations, resolve escalations.
• Coordinate shift response to incidents and liaise with other departments.
• Coordinate with clinics for sample collection and queries.
• Coordinate with Customer Support for client queries.
• Investigate causes of testing errors and non-conformances to reduce recurrence.
• Monitor shift KPIs: turnaround times, productivity, error rates, downtime and backlog.
