Job summary

Avantor Services is seeking a Laboratory Technician to provide essential lab support within our on-site operations for a major pharmaceutical customer. This entry-level role focuses on stock and waste management, equipment support, and routine laboratory tasks in compliance with safety and GMP standards.

You will work to a defined scope of work, engage with scientists to understand needs, and contribute to continuous improvement while adhering to health and safety regulations. Training provided.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn safety and GMP requirements.
• Experience in customer service preferred but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform general laboratory housekeeping.
• Carry out equipment checks and maintenance tasks.
• Weighing and dispensing reagents.
• Waste management and documentation.
• Use inventory system to maintain supplies across labs.
• Support colleagues and cover during absences.
