Job summary

Vibe Recruit is assisting a leading specialist equipment manufacturer with the recruitment of a Laboratory Assistant/Technician. The role is based at the UK HQ/manufacturing facility in Oxfordshire, offering training and career development.

Responsibilities include performing laboratory testing to quality standards, assisting in QC, and liaising with customers regarding analysis reports. Opportunities exist to visit customers alongside colleagues from other departments.

Qualifications

• A-Level or equivalent in Chemistry/Science.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing according to internal procedures and quality standards.
• Identify particle contamination via patch testing, microscopy and particle counting equipment.
• Measure water content using a Karl Fischer titrator.
• Assess fluid aging properties using TAN and MPC analysis techniques.
• Assist in quality control of manufactured products via cleanliness testing.
• Handle relevant laboratory administration and liaise with customers regarding analysis reports.

Job description

Laboratory Assistant / Technician

Due to continued product development and growth, a leading specialist equipment manufacturer, now has a need for additional support to join the Laboratory Team.

The organisation offers excellent training and career development, with a UK headquarters and manufacturing facility based in Oxfordshire, and a global presence of over 10,000 employees.

Key Responsibilities:

To perform laboratory testing according to internal procedures and associated quality standards.

Examples of which are as follows:

• Identification of particle contamination through patch testing, microscopy and particle counting equipment.
  • Measurement of water content using a Karl Fischer Titrator.
  • Measurement of fluid aging properties through TAN and MPC analysis techniques.
  • Component cleanliness testing.
• To assist in quality control of manufactured products through component cleanliness testing.
• To perform relevant laboratory administration when required (sample paperwork, quotes, orders etc.).
• To liaise with customers regarding analysis reports

Additionally, there may be opportunities to visit a vast array of customers alongside colleagues from other departments.
