Job summary

Russell Taylor Group is seeking a QC Laboratory Analyst in Preston to join a busy manufacturing environment. The role involves quality control testing on bulk liquids and finished products, with responsibilities spanning data reporting and production support.

The position requires an HNC in Chemistry or a Chemistry degree with relevant experience, plus hands-on use of analytical equipment and a strong eye for detail. GMP adherence is essential.

Qualifications

Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week Shifts: Rotating 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm

On behalf of our client, we're looking for a QC Laboratory Analyst to join a busy manufacturing environment, carrying out quality control testing on bulk liquids and finished products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory testing in line with specifications and approved methods.
• Interpret and accurately report analytical results.
• Investigate out-of-specification results, liaising with Technical and Manufacturing teams.
• Release bulk products for filling and support production schedules.
• Calibrate laboratory equipment and assist with equipment validation.
• Prepare laboratory reagents and maintain samples, records and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP and health and safety requirements.

Requirements:

• HNC in Chemistry with 2-3 years' relevant experience, or a Chemistry degree with 1-2 years' experience.
• Practical experience using analytical equipment, including titrators, moisture analysers, UV/IR spectroscopy or fluorimeters.
• Knowledge of GC and HPLC.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and the ability to interpret data accurately.
• Good communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
