Qualifications

• Strong maths/numerical ability and confidence interpreting data.
• Good computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
• Ability to work independently following structured processes.
• Reliable, methodical approach with attention to detail.
• Willingness to work 12-hour continental shifts pattern.

Responsibilities

• Carry out laboratory testing and analysis of alloy and metal samples using specialist instrumentation.
• Prepare samples for testing and ensure procedures are followed.
• Record, analyse and input results using computer systems and laboratory software.
• Use test results to support production quality and manufacturing processes.
• Carry out routine calibration, standardisation and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Work independently to complete testing within established procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organised laboratory environment in line with 5S standards.
• Follow all health and safety, quality and laboratory procedures.
• Collaborate with laboratory colleagues and production teams to support manufacturing operations.
