• Science background with strong math and computing skills.
• Ability to interpret results and adjust alloy chemistry.
• Willingness to provide 24/7 laboratory cover within a small team.
• Meticulous with exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Analyze alloy samples by combustion, optical emission and X-ray Fluorescence techniques.
• Prepare samples for analysis.
• Maintain laboratory equipment.
• Standardise laboratory equipment.
• Maintain 5S in the laboratory.
• Input results to LIMS.
• Calculate bath additions during heat manufacture using LIMS and Optimat.
• Support a continental working pattern from October.
