Wood County Hospital is seeking a Lab Support Tech to join our Laboratory team. The role focuses on accurate specimen collection, processing, and management, while delivering high-quality patient care and strong customer service. This is an on-site position with daytime hours.

Required is a high school diploma or GED, with preferred phlebotomy training and experience in specimen processing. Excellent team collaboration and attention to safety are essential for success in this role.

Formación

• Phlebotomy training or program preferred.
• Experience in handling patient specimens and providing customer service.
• Ability to work with laboratory information systems and maintain accuracy.

Responsabilidades

• Provide courteous customer service to patients and staff.
• Collect patient specimens across outpatient, inpatient, and emergency settings.
• Verify specimen and test requirements and instruct patients as needed.
• Resolve specimen issues and coordinate recollection when necessary.
• Prepare and manage specimens and laboratory information for testing and transport.
• Contribute to safety culture and quality improvement activities.
• Work hours per week as per offer letter; may require longer hours.
