Job summary

St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Advanced Biomedical Support Worker to join the Clinical Blood Sciences team. The role involves working with laboratory equipment and processes across Biochemistry, Send away Bench, and Central Pathology Reception, with training provided and CPD encouraged.

You'll support Biomedical Scientists, participate in the shift system (including out-of-hours), and may work across SWLP laboratories in the future to deliver a high-quality

Qualifications

• Experience in diagnostic pathology is advantageous.
• Knowledge across a range of laboratory procedures is beneficial.
• Willingness to work in a clinical laboratory environment and CPD encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process specimens for analysis.
• Operate laboratory automation and analytical equipment within scope.
• Manage samples and consumables and ensure proper lab storage.
• Maintain health and safety standards and follow SOPs.
• Work as part of the Clinical Blood Sciences team, including out-of-hours shifts.
