Job summary

University of Oxford is seeking two Service Area Support Assistants to join Biomedical Services at the Old Road Campus, Headington, Oxford and the Biomedical Sciences Building, South Parks Road, Oxford. These full-time roles (36.5 hours per week) provide essential hands-on support to keep animal facilities clean, safe, and well-organised.

Training will be provided; no previous experience is necessary. The team handles deliveries, stock, and day-to-day logistics with opportunities to support

• A basic Microsoft Office knowledge is preferable but not essential.
• No previous experience is necessary; full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as cage washers and autoclaves to maintain sterile facilities.
• Support stock management and housekeeping to high standards.
• Take in deliveries and liaise with logistics partners.
