Job summary

Lostock High School in Stretford, Manchester, is seeking a L3 Teaching Assistant – Interventions (Literacy), start asap. Permanent full-time (36.25 hours). Band 4 Scale 12–17; actual salary £25,410–£27,563.

You will join our SEND team, lead interventions to raise numeracy standards and support pupils with SEND across the curriculum. The post offers the Apprenticeship Levy route to gain the required qualification and a commitment to safeguarding and professional development.

Qualifications

• Must have or be willing to gain the L3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) via Apprenticeship Levy.
• Commitment to improving life chances and professional development.
• Experience supporting pupils with special educational needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead interventions to raise numeracy standards and close gaps between SEND and non-SEND students.
• Provide support for students with SEND throughout their curriculum.
• Work with SENDCo and senior leaders to ensure effective teaching and learning.
