Day‑to‑day, you will

• Lead and support a team of engineers responsible for keeping our platforms stable, secure and high‑performing, while also handling HR tasks like training plans and scheduling.
• Help resolve technical issues and service requests using our internal ticketing system, ensuring we meet or exceed agreed service levels.
• Provide guidance on infrastructure for our Direct Debit products and support environments across AWS and multiple data centres.
• Drive improvements to how we work, from security patching and disaster recovery to systems monitoring and service automation.

Your skills and experiences might also include

• Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, and tools such as Terraform for managing infrastructure.
• A solid background in systems engineering across Windows, Linux, and databases like MySQL or AWS Aurora.
• Knowledge of scripting (e.g. PowerShell or shell scripting) to automate tasks and streamline processes.
• Familiarity with SSL certificate management, networking, and system monitoring tools like CloudWatch or Splunk.
