Job summary

Tommie’s Childcare in the East Midlands is offering a Modern Apprentice role within a nurturing nursery environment. You'll support young children, assist with activities, and help maintain a safe, stimulating setting aligned with EYFS standards.

You'll gain hands-on experience while studying, with varied shifts from 7:30am to 6pm, and opportunities for progression as you develop practical childcare skills and professional confidence.

Responsibilities

  • Complete studies alongside gaining hands-on experience within a nursery setting.
  • Deliver engaging activities tailored to the developmental stages of children in accordance with early childhood education standards.
  • Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods, ensuring their safety.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues through effective communication.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines.
  • Organise and oversee daily routines including arrival and departure procedures.
  • Support colleagues in managing behavioural issues using appropriate strategies.
  • Contribute to nursery events and activities that promote socialisation and learning.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to childcare documentation as required.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the nursery environment.

Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiasticModern Apprentice to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their early development and learning.
