Job summary

Adecco Portugal is hiring an experienced Learning & Development Trainer/Instructional Designer to support a Workday rollout in Hemel Hempstead. The 6-month contract offers a hybrid working pattern with a daily rate around £500.

You will design, develop and deliver end-user training, create supporting materials, run virtual and face-to-face sessions, and work with HR, IT and the Workday project team to ensure adoption and successful deployment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an L&D Trainer, Learning Consultant, or Instructional Designer.
• Experience delivering Workday training programmes is highly desirable.
• Strong instructional design ability for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training programmes to support the Workday implementation.
• Create engaging learning content for virtual and classroom training environments.
• Conduct training needs analysis with stakeholders to identify learning requirements.
• Develop a range of learning resources including training guides, manuals, quick reference guides, e-learning modules, process documentation, user support materials, and video content.
• Facilitate training sessions for end users, managers, HR teams, and other stakeholders.
• Support user adoption and change management activities during the Workday rollout.
• Gather feedback and evaluate training effectiveness to continuously improve materials and delivery.
• Collaborate with the Workday project team, HR, IT, and business stakeholders to align training with programme objectives.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure materials remain accurate.

Rate - £500 (A day)

We are seeking an experienced Learning & Development Trainer/Instructional Designer to join our Workday implementation programme on an initial 6-month contract. This role will be dedicated to supporting the successful rollout of Workday as the organisation's new HR platform.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering engaging learning solutions that support end-user adoption across the business. This includes creating virtual and instructor-led training programmes, developing supporting learning materials, and ensuring colleagues have the knowledge and confidence to effectively use the new system.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training programmes to support the implementation of Workday.
• Create engaging learning content for both virtual and classroom-based training environments.
• Conduct training needs analysis and work with key stakeholders to identify learning requirements.

• Work closely with the Workday project team, HR, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure training aligns with programme objectives.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure learning materials remain accurate and up to date.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as an L&D Trainer, Learning Consultant, or Instructional Designer.
• Previous involvement in HR system implementations, ideally Workday.
• Strong instructional design experience with the ability to create engaging learning solutions for diverse audiences.
• Experience delivering both virtual and face-to-face classroom training.
• Ability to create high-quality learning materials using modern learning technologies and authoring tools.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables within project timelines.
• Experience working within large-scale transformation or system implementation programmes.

Desirable Experience

• Direct experience supporting a Workday implementation or Workday training programme.
• Knowledge of change management and user adoption methodologies.
• Experience within HR, People, or Talent functions.
• Familiarity with E-learning platforms and digital learning technologies.
