Job summary

Elsevier’s Technology Learning & Development team builds scalable technical capability across AI-native engineering, Data Science and Software Engineering.

The Learning & Development Manager will lead programmes from curriculum design through global delivery and evidenced certification, partnering with leaders, SMEs and learning champions to scale capability across Technology teams in North America, India and Europe.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and delivering engaging technical learning programmes.
• Able to diagnose capability gaps and translate needs into learning solutions.
• Credibility with technical audiences across software engineering, data and GenAI contexts.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical capability programmes across AI, Data Science, Data Engineering and Early Careers.
• Partner with technology leaders and SMEs to identify capability needs and translate into learning solutions.
• Drive adoption of the AI Fluency Framework with learning pathways and experiences.
• Own assessment and certification approaches to evidence capability through practical outcomes.
• Shape graduate capability strategy with demand planning and delivery of technical bootcamps.
• Manage learning platforms and resources for a high-quality learner experience.
• Oversee external learning partners and ensure delivery standards and scope.
• Establish measurement and reporting on capability growth and programme effectiveness.
