Job summary

Elsevier Technology Learning & Development is seeking a Learning and Development Manager to lead technical capability programmes across AI-native engineering, Data Science and Data Engineering, software engineering and early careers. You will partner with leaders, engineering SMEs and learning champions to take programmes from curriculum design through global delivery and evidenced certification.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and delivering technical learning programmes in a global technology environment.
• Ability to diagnose capability gaps and translate learning needs into solutions.
• Experience applying AI/GenAI concepts within engineering learning contexts.
• Experience leading graduate or early-career talent programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management with senior leaders and partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical capability programmes end-to-end across AI Engineering, Data Science and Early Careers, from design through delivery, assessment and rollout.
• Partner with Technology leaders and SMEs to identify capability needs and translate them into learning solutions.
• Drive adoption of the AI Fluency Framework by designing learning pathways and development experiences.
• Own assessment and certification approaches, ensuring capability is evidenced through practical application.
• Partner with the Senior L&D Manager to shape the graduate capability strategy, including demand planning and delivery of technical bootcamps.
• Manage learning platforms and resources, ensuring a high-quality learner experience.
• Oversee external learning partners, maintaining delivery quality, scope and standards.
• Establish measurement frameworks and reporting to evaluate capability growth, engagement, adoption and programme effectiveness.
