Job summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a Learning and Development Officer to line manage the Learning and Development Trainers and act as a specialist in opportunities at individual, team and organisational level.

The role focuses on leading Digital Systems learning including clinical systems with working knowledge of the Electronic Patient Record, and delivering comprehensive training across the Trust.

Qualifications

• Line management of Learning and Development Trainers.
• Specialist guidance on learning opportunities at individual, team and organisational level.
• Lead on Digital Systems learning including clinical systems (EPR knowledge).

Responsibilities

• Provide line management support to Learning and Development Trainers, including one-to-one meetings and performance management.
• Design and develop delivery methods for learning activities across specialist areas.
• Support trainers in handling learner enquiries and guiding learning.
• Develop assessment approaches to record employee competence.
• Implement evaluation methods to monitor training effectiveness.
• Coordinate Trust Induction programmes and ensure new starters attend related activities.
• Maintain knowledge to ensure ongoing competence and liaise with external providers as required.
