Job summary

CGI Group Inc. is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, automate, and optimise secure cloud-native platforms underpinning critical Big Data and cyber defence capabilities. You will own Kubernetes-based platforms, automate CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with agile teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

You will work in a hybrid role based out of the Reading office, tackling complex engineering challenges while advancing security and performance requirements across the programme.

Qualifications

• Kubernetes hands-on experience deploying and managing clusters.
• Proven platform engineering experience for cloud-native environments.
• CI/CD with modern DevOps tooling (GitLab).
• Strong Linux and infrastructure troubleshooting skills.
• Networking fundamentals including DNS, routing and firewalls.
• Automation and scripting to streamline engineering tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain secure, scalable Kubernetes-based platforms and containerised apps.
• Develop automation to accelerate delivery and improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor platform health, troubleshoot complex issues and drive improvements.
• Configure infrastructure, networking and Linux-based systems for seamless integration.
