Job summary

CGI Group Inc. is seeking a Cloud Engineer to deliver secure software solutions on-site with clients across the UK.

You will bridge application and infrastructure layers, implement IaC, and drive robust CI/CD pipelines while mentoring teammates and upholding engineering best practices. Ideal candidates bring hands-on cloud and container orchestration experience, strong scripting skills in Python/Go/Java, and a collaborative mindset to work within CGI’s Space, Defence and Intelligence focus.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration (OpenShift, EKS, AKS, Rancher).
• Proficient in Python, Go, Java, etc. for software engineering tasks.
• Background in systems engineering and integration; DevOps mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-quality technical solutions and system architectures.
• Use Infrastructure as Code and modern DevOps practices to develop, integrate, and support apps and services in cloud and on-premises systems.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Deliver containerised applications using Kubernetes (OpenShift, EKS, AKS, GKE, etc.).
• Support testing processes including unit, integration, and system testing.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across development and deployment environments.
• Collaborate with software developers, infrastructure engineers, and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.
