Job summary

CGI in Belfast is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, automate and optimise secure cloud and Kubernetes infrastructure. You will own platform reliability, drive automation, and work with DevOps and development teams to deliver resilient environments.

You will deploy and monitor Kubernetes clusters, use Ansible and IaC to streamline provisioning, and ensure high availability and security across the stack.

Qualifications

• You should have hands-on experience managing Linux-based infrastructure and container platforms, with strong automation skills and an understanding of secure, highly available environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, manage and optimise secure cloud and Kubernetes infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability and performance.
• Take ownership of platform reliability, drive automation and work collaboratively with DevOps and development teams to deliver secure, efficient infrastructure solutions.
• Design & Manage: Deploy, maintain and monitor Kubernetes clusters and Linux infrastructure.
• Automate & Optimise: Use Ansible, scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to streamline provisioning and operations.
• Orchestrate & Scale: Manage Kubernetes workloads, container deployments and microservices.
• Secure & Protect: Maintain platform security, resilience, backup and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Integrate & Deliver: Support CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps teams to improve deployment efficiency.
