Job summary

RedTech is seeking a Platform Engineer to join a specialist team responsible for infrastructure, tooling and automation with Kubernetes at its core. The role offers exposure to container orchestration, CI/CD, IaC and observability in a cloud-native environment, with hybrid working in Cambridge (2 days in the office).

Graduate candidates with a strong academic background and at least AAB at A Level are encouraged, with experienced applicants expected to demonstrate production Kubernetes expertise

Qualifications

• Graduate or experienced platform engineer with strong Kubernetes knowledge.
• Strong academic background if applying at graduate level (2:1 or 1st class).
• Experience operating and scaling Kubernetes in production environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and provisioning tools (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Experience with CI/CD technologies (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins).
• Good understanding of networking, security, and source control.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and collaboration skills.
• Scripting or programming languages such as Python, Bash or Go beneficial.

• Operate, maintain and evolve Kubernetes platforms across environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support software delivery.
• Improve reliability, observability and performance of clusters.
• Collaborate with software teams to enable cloud-native development.
