Job summary

Frameclad Ltd in Billingham, in collaboration with Northumbria University, is seeking a KTP Associate in Cold-Formed Steel Structures to design, conduct and analyse fire experiments on LSF systems, and to develop thermo-mechanical FEA and CFD models.

You will drive the KTP project delivery, manage milestones and Innovate UK reporting, and present findings to a multidisciplinary team, bridging academia and industry.

Qualifications

• Design and analyse advanced fire experiments on LSF wall and floor systems.
• Develop thermo-mechanical numerical models using Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Undertake Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling to simulate realistic fire scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day technical delivery of the KTP project and ensure milestones and Innovate UK reporting requirements are met.
• Present technical findings and project progress to Frameclad Ltd management, Northumbria University academics, Innovate UK representatives and the KTP Local Management Committee.
• Collaborate with academia and industry to deliver high-impact applied research and develop digital engineering solutions.
