Job summary
The Whittan Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer to join our Telford team. You will lead concept and detailed structural schemes for cold-formed steel storage solutions, collaborating with Sales and Design to take projects from concept through detailed engineering and product testing.
You will perform structural analysis, present calculations to stakeholders, and contribute to software tool development to streamline design processes.
Qualifications
- Graduate with MEng/BEng/BSc or equivalent in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Demonstrate an understanding of steelwork design codes.
- Proficient user of CAD.
Responsibilities
- Deliver concept and detailed structural solutions for storage schemes.
- Perform structural analysis and design calculations per EN 15512 and SEAM 2020.
- Present calculations clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
- Write and explain your calculations with design sketches.
- Support and participate in product testing and data analysis.
- Lead development of concept and detailed structural schemes.
