Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a KS4 Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 support to students across the BCP area. You will work on behalf of Local Authorities to help learners achieve GCSEs or equivalent qualifications through tailored sessions.

This role offers flexible hours and a focus on building confidence, engagement and progression for learners who may need additional educational support. A strong commitment to inclusivity is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting.
• Experience working with KS4 level learners.
• Strong subject knowledge across curriculums.
• Ability to deliver engaging and personalised sessions.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Driver preferred; willing to travel locally across the BCP area.

KS4 Tutor

Support Young People Through a Crucial Stage of Their Education

We're looking for a KS4 Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 support to young people across the BCP area.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll support learners studying at Key Stage 4 who require alternative educational provision. Many students benefit from tailored support to help them build confidence, improve engagement, and work towards their GCSEs or equivalent qualifications.

This is an excellent opportunity for tutors who enjoy helping learners overcome barriers to education and achieve their full potential through personalised support.

Hours: Flexible

Pay Rate: 25- 30 per hour

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
• Experience supporting learners at KS4 level
• Strong subject knowledge in one or more curriculum areas
• Ability to deliver engaging and personalised sessions
• Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Patient, adaptable, and positive approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally across the BCP area
