Broadstone Middle School is seeking a KS3 Maths or English Teacher to bring the subject to life, challenge pupils to think deeply and help them discover what they are capable of.
You will create engaging and ambitious learning experiences, build on prior knowledge, identify misconceptions and celebrate progress, helping every learner reach their potential. The role offers full-time, permanent employment with an anticipated January 2027 start date.
MPR, Full time, Permanent
Anticipated start date - January 2027
At Broadstone Middle School, we know that great teaching is about more than a curriculum.
It is about curiosity. About having the confidence to try. About learning that getting something wrong is often the first step towards getting better. And about discovering that, with the right encouragement, you can achieve more than you ever thought possible.
We are looking for a KS3 Maths or English Teacher who can bring their subject to life, challenge pupils to think deeply and help them discover what they are capable of.
We want our pupils to leave lessons with more than more than strong academic knowledge.
We want them to become confident problem-solvers. We want them to ask questions, embrace challenges and develop the resilience to keep going when something feels difficult.
As our new Teacher, you will create engaging and ambitious learning experiences that inspire pupils to think, reason and succeed. You will build on what they already know, identify misconceptions, celebrate progress and help every learner achieve their potential.
You’ll have high expectations, a thoughtful and consistent approach to behaviour and a genuine belief that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed.
We are interested in what you bring to the classroom, not just what is written on your application form.
You may be an experienced teacher looking for a fresh challenge, or an early-career teacher eager to develop your practice and make your mark.
What matters most is that you believe that good teaching can open doors, spark curiosity and help young people see what they are capable of achieving.
You will be reflective, adaptable and committed to continually developing your practice. Most importantly, you will care deeply about helping children learn, grow and thrive.
If you believe that great teaching can change not only how a young person feels about a subject, but how they feel about themselves, we would love to hear from you.
(Please note, applications will be viewed on receipt)
The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, this role involves directly working with children and significant contact with children, and therefore we expect all staff and volunteers to share the same commitment. Applicants will be required to complete satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check for this post prior to commencement. If successfully shortlisted the HR Department will also be conducting an individual online search of your ‘name, education and employment’, to demonstrate due diligence following ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ guidance. The search will not form part of the actual shortlisting process and any concerns arising from the search will be discussed directly with you.
