Prospero Teaching are seeking a passionate KS3 Music Teacher for a part-time placement in a welcoming secondary school in the Fairford area. The role runs from October half term through to Christmas, with two teaching days (Thursday and Friday) and the potential to continue from January for the right candidate.

You will deliver Music across Key Stage 3, planning engaging lessons and supporting pupil confidence and musical development.

Qualifications

Job description

Prospero Teaching are currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic KS3 Music Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in the Fairford area from October half term through to the Christmas break.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Music Teacher to join a well-established school and become part of a supportive department. The role will focus on teaching Music across Key Stage 3, with the successful candidate responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that inspire pupils and develop their confidence and musical ability.

While initially running until Christmas, there is genuine potential for the position to continue from January for the right candidate, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to establish themselves within a school and potentially secure a longer-term position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality KS3 Music lessons
  • Differentiating lessons to meet the needs and abilities of all pupils
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Marking and assessing pupils' work
  • Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching accordingly
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining high expectations
  • Developing pupils' musical knowledge, skills and confidence
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Music department
  • Contributing positively to the wider life of the school where appropriate
About You

The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher with experience teaching Music, ideally within a secondary school setting. You will be passionate about your subject and able to engage pupils through creative, structured and enjoyable lessons.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, enthusiastic and confident in the classroom, with strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils. You should be comfortable taking responsibility for your own planning, assessment and marking.
