Job summary

Prospero Teaching are seeking a passionate KS3 Music Teacher for a part-time placement in a welcoming secondary school in the Fairford area. The role runs from October half term through to Christmas, with two teaching days (Thursday and Friday) and the potential to continue from January for the right candidate.

You will deliver Music across Key Stage 3, planning engaging lessons and supporting pupil confidence and musical development.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with experience delivering Music to Key Stage 3 in secondary settings.
• Ability to plan engaging, structured KS3 lessons.
• Reliable, enthusiastic with strong classroom management.
• Able to build positive pupil relationships and support inclusive learning.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging KS3 Music lessons.
• Differentiate to meet all pupils' needs.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Mark and assess pupils' work.
• Monitor progress and adapt teaching accordingly.
• Manage behaviour to maintain high expectations.
• Develop pupils' musical knowledge, skills and confidence.
• Collaborate with Music department colleagues.
• Contribute to wider school life where appropriate.
