Job summary

Pertemps Specialist Division is seeking a Year 6 Graduate Teaching Assistant for an Erdington school. The role runs from September 2026 to July 2027, offering daily pay of £85 to £101. You will support KS2 pupils with 1:1, small-group and general academic work across the curriculum.

The ideal candidate is organised, patient, and enthusiastic about building practical classroom skills for a future in teaching, with a clear goal to train as a teacher and contribute to pupil progress.

Qualifications

• Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
• Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS certificate, or willingness to obtain.
• Genuine interest in education and pupil progress.
• Desire to train as a teacher and build a long-term career.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1, small group and general academic support across KS2.
• Reinforce learning in English, Maths, Science and wider subjects.
• Prepare simple resources and give teachers clear feedback on progress.
• Support reading, writing and learning activities in the classroom.
