Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD is assisting a Good-rated school in Heaton Chapel, Stockport, to recruit a Year 4 teacher for January 2027. You will manage a two-form entry class, with strong support from a planning partner and specialist staff, helping pupils progress across core subjects.

Open to both ECTs and experienced teachers with QTS; the school offers a supportive environment and opportunities for career development within KS2.

Qualifications

• Essential: QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure and overseas police clearances where applicable.
• Right to work in the UK.
• CV covering at least 10 years of history; explain gaps if any.

Responsibilities

• Lead an average class of 28–30 pupils in Year 4.
• Plan, assess and review progress; delegate tasks to teaching assistants.
• Follow the White Rose Maths scheme and support writing across genres.
• Collaborate with SENDCo and school staff to report pupil progress.
