Job summary

Nields Academy in Worston is seeking a Teaching Assistant with some SEN responsibility to join our KS2 team. You will work under the instruction and guidance of teaching staff, supporting learning and managing pupils in the classroom or outdoors for individuals or small groups.

You should have a good understanding of Maths and English at Year 5/6 level and a willingness to support pupils with EHCPs. The role is fixed-term until 31 August 2027 with term-time hours.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Maths and English taught at Year 5/6 level.
• Ability to support pupils with SEN needs and EHCPs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.
• Undertake work/care/support programmes to enable access to learning.
• Work with individuals or small groups in classroom or outdoor spaces.
• Support pupils who have EHCPs and implement relevant provisions.
