Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is recruiting enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming primary school in BS31 from January 2027. You will support children in Key Stage 2, helping them build confidence and core skills while working with the class teacher to deliver targeted support.

You may work one-to-one or in small groups, focusing on reading, writing and maths. A DBS Update Service is required, or you must be willing to obtain one as part of the registration process.

Qualifications

• Able to support KS2 pupils aged 7–11.
• Experience supporting children, professional or voluntary.
• Willing to obtain an enhanced DBS Update Service if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Support KS2 pupils to access learning and reach individual goals.
• Assist in reading, writing and maths interventions alongside teachers.
• Help children build confidence, independence and positive learning habits.
• Support pupils with additional needs within the classroom environment.
• Encourage engagement, participation and positive behaviour.
