Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is seeking a dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in Grays. You will support pupils’ learning and wellbeing, working with teachers to provide inclusive, high-quality lessons.

The role focuses on assisting individual pupils and small groups, preparing resources, and promoting pupil engagement and independence. Experience in schools or SEN settings is preferred, with DBS checks and safeguarding training required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a school, SEN or care setting preferred.
• Patient, nurturing, and empathetic approach to support pupils.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with pupils, colleagues and parents.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering high-quality learning experiences.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Assist in preparation of classroom resources and learning activities.
• Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and independence.
• Support children with varying learning needs and abilities.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Help maintain a safe, positive, and productive learning environment.
