Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a KS1 Teaching Assistant for a full-time role starting September 2026 in a welcoming primary school in England. You will provide 1:1 support for a child with learning difficulties and behavioural needs, supporting confidence, independence and engagement.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm, with ongoing professional development, a dedicated consultant, and access to free safeguarding training.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting a child with learning needs or behavioural needs.
• Experience in a school or childcare setting preferred.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for a KS1 pupil with additional needs.
• Encourage confidence, independence and engagement in learning.
• Assist with delivering age-appropriate activities and lessons.
• Help create a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
• Support social, emotional, and academic development.
• Collaborate with teachers and families to achieve positive outcomes.
