Job summary

WMJobs is seeking a warm KS2 Teaching Assistant to join Fladbury CofE Primary School and Preschool on a fixed one-year contract. You will support pupils across Years 3–6, including pupils with SEND, and work in small groups to reinforce learning.

You will help with English, maths and the wider curriculum, assist with resource prep and classroom organisation, and contribute to enrichment activities.

Qualifications

• Strong communication: clear, constructive interaction with children, staff and parents.
• Child-centred approach focused on patience, encouragement and high expectations.
• KS2 experience and ability to support pupils with SEND including SLCN.
• Willingness to learn and grow within a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Supporting teaching and learning within KS2 classrooms
• Working with small groups (typically 1:2) to reinforce key skills
• Providing targeted support in English, maths and wider curriculum subjects
• Assisting with preparation of learning resources and classroom organisation
• Offering pastoral support reflecting the school’s nurturing ethos
• Supporting pupils with SEND through tailored strategies and interventions
• Contributing to clubs, events and enrichment activities
