Job summary

Key Stage Teacher Supply is seeking a proactive Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary in the Dudley area, supporting KS2 pupils and working closely with the class teacher. The role offers daily rate pay and a supportive placement within a strong inclusive school environment.

Successful applicants will have previous experience with children, an understanding of the primary curriculum, and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people (school-based desirable).
• Experience supporting pupils within a primary school setting.
• Understanding of the primary curriculum.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, proactive and supportive approach.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Support pupil in the classroom on a 1:1 and small group basis.
• Assist the teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
• Encourage pupil engagement and participation.
• Support behaviour management using positive strategies.
• Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams.
