Job summary

Crowthorne C of E Primary School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team. The role focuses on Upper Key Stage Two, with flexibility to support across the age range, in small groups or whole class settings.

We were rated Outstanding by Ofsted in February 2025 and offer induction and ongoing training. Hours are term time only, 18-20hrs per week, 8:30am–3:15pm, with 30 minutes for lunch. Starting from £13.28 per hour plus London Fringe Weighting.

Qualifications

• Be a hard-working individual, prepared to support all children to be the best they can be.
• Be able to use a variety of strategies to engage, support and motivate children in their learning.
• Have an understanding of the KS2 National Curriculum, including familiarity with a variety of interventions.
• Have experience of successfully supporting children with additional needs to achieve their best academically and pastorally.
• Be willing to complete additional training in order to be able to provide individual support to children as needed.
• Have a desire to be involved in all aspects of school life.
• Have a good standard of literacy, numeracy and IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Upper Key Stage Two pupils in class and in small groups.
• Provide individual and group support to meet learning needs.
• Assist with whole-class teaching assistant duties as required.
• Participate in induction and ongoing training.
• Support school ethos and engage with the wider school community.
