Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in North Manchester. You will work with pupils individually and in small groups, supporting their learning and wellbeing, on day-to-day to long-term placements.

We value reliability and enthusiasm, with recent experience in education. Training, CPD via Milk Academy, and flexible hours are provided to help you thrive in a caring school community.

Qualifications

  • Recent experience working with children or young people in an education setting.
  • Strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in education, childcare, youth work or similar.
  • A positive, patient approach and the ability to work effectively alongside teaching staff.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils individually and within small groups across the school.
  • Assisting with interventions and helping pupils make progress in key areas.
  • Working alongside teachers to prepare resources and provide additional classroom support.
  • Encouraging positive attitudes towards learning and creating an inclusive environment.
