Leighton Academy is seeking a KS2 Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning in Key Stage 2. The role involves delivering small-group interventions, assisting with planning and keeping the learning environment positive and well-structured.

The successful candidate will be calm, caring and collaborative, with safeguarding knowledge and a commitment to helping every child reach their potential. The position is part-time, one day per week, within a supportive school community.

Are you a passionate, caring and committed Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in children's lives? At Leighton Academy, we are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated key stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team for one day per week.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced colleagues in a welcoming and inclusive primary school, helping our children to feel safe, flourish and become lifelong learners. As part of our Leighton Academy family, you will play a key role in bringing our vision of being ‘Stronger Together’ to life, supporting every child to achieve their full potential academically, socially and emotionally.

What does the role involve?

Working under the direction of the Key Stage Lead and class teacher, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 2. You will help create a stimulating learning environment, support pupils' progress, deliver small-group interventions and contribute to the wider life of the school. The successful candidate will provide high-quality classroom cover when required, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining the positive learning environment expected at Leighton Academy.

The successful candidate will:
