Qualifications

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 is preferred but not essential.
• Strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum.
• Ability to plan and deliver well-structured lessons.
• Effective classroom management and high expectations for pupils.
• Adaptable and confident in addressing diverse learning needs.
• Builds positive relationships with children, colleagues and families.
• Enthusiastic, reliable and committed to professional development.
• ECTs are encouraged to apply and will receive induction and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging KS2 lessons aligned to the Primary National Curriculum.
• Create stimulating learning experiences that foster curiosity and independent thinking.
• Assess pupil progress to inform teaching approaches and planning.
• Differentiate lessons to meet a range of learning needs, including SEN.
• Establish clear routines and high standards of behaviour and learning.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Encourage confidence, resilience, independence and positive attitudes to learning.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and carers.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and staff to support pupil progress.
• Contribute to school events, enrichment activities and the wider life of the school.
