Job summary

Academics is seeking a experienced Key Stage 2 Teacher for day-to-day, short-term and long-term supply work in the Rugeley, Penkridge and Stafford areas. You will deliver engaging KS2 lessons, maintain positive classroom environments and ensure continuity of learning across diverse school settings.

The role requires QTS, recent primary experience, and an enhanced DBS. You should be able to commute to local schools and be available for flexible placements based on demand.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Recent experience teaching within a primary school setting.
• Confidence teaching across a range of KS2 settings.
• Flexible, professional and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
• Availability for day-to-day, short-term and/or long-term placements.
• Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain).
• Two recent professional references required.
• Able to commute to Staffordshire/Stafford/Penkridge/Rugeley areas.
• Fully registered (or willing to register) with Academics.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage National Curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes pupil engagement and achievement.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of individual pupils and classes.
• Provide feedback on pupil progress and learning where required.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents as appropriate.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children at all times.
