Job summary

Academics is recruiting experienced Key Stage 1 teachers to support local primary schools in Stafford, Penkridge and Rugeley with daily, short-term and long-term supply roles. You will deliver engaging KS1 lessons, maintain a positive learning environment, and adapt to varied school settings while building relationships with pupils and staff.

Applicants should have QTS and recent KS1 teaching experience, with an enhanced DBS update service or willingness to obtain one, plus two recent

Qualifications

• QTS is essential.
• Recent experience teaching within a primary school setting.
• DBS enhanced with update service (or willing to obtain).
• Two recent professional references required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment and promote pupil engagement.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively per school policies.
• Adapt teaching to meet individual needs and classes across KS1.
• Provide feedback on pupil progress when required.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents where appropriate.
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of children at all times.
