Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is partnering with a respected MAT to recruit KS2 teachers for Burnham-on-Sea. Roles are flexible—day-to-day to long-term—with opportunities starting as soon as possible in schools within the BWMAT network.

We offer competitive PAYE daily rates (£150–£241) with weekly pay, plus access to their Teacher Toolkit and wellbeing support. Roles may run through Christmas or longer, providing valuable experience across primary KS2 settings.

Qualifications

• QTS essential.
• Experience teaching in a primary school setting.
• Confident teaching across KS2.
• Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
• A genuine passion for teaching and supporting children's learning.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
• Flexible, reliable, and confident adapting to different school environments.
• Commitment to equality, inclusion and diversity.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Teach across KS2, adapting lessons to suit different year groups and abilities.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Support pupils’ learning, progress, and individual development.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and the wider school community.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of different learners.
• Maintain effective classroom management and high expectations of behaviour.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider school community.
• Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
