Job summary

Vision for Education are looking to recruit a dedicated Year 5/6 Teacher to work on a full-time basis within a welcoming primary school in the TS12 area.

This role involves planning engaging lessons for Year 5 and Year 6, assessing pupil progress, and supporting development across reading, writing and maths while fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching in a primary school setting.
• Experience teaching Key Stage 2, especially Year 5 or Year 6, desirable.
• Strong understanding of the KS2 primary curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons for a Year 5/6 class.
• Meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities and learning needs.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching accordingly.
• Develop pupils' skills across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Support pupils' reading, writing, mathematics, and wider curriculum subjects.
• Prepare pupils for transition to secondary education.
• Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Promote positive behaviour and independent learning.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and wider school staff.

About the Role

Vision for Education are looking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5/6 Teacher to work on a full-time basis within a welcoming primary school in the TS12 area.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate teacher to join a supportive school team and provide high-quality teaching and learning for pupils in Year 5 and Year 6. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, creative, and age-appropriate lessons that challenge and inspire pupils, while supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.

The successful candidate will work closely with the wider school team to create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching within a primary school setting.
• Experience teaching Key Stage 2, particularly Year 5 or Year 6, is desirable.
• A strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 primary curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
• A caring, patient, flexible, and proactive approach.
• A commitment to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
