Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant in Selly Oak starting September 2026. This full-time role focuses on supporting pupils with diverse learning and behavioural needs in a welcoming primary school.

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience and a patient approach, able to engage with children effectively. Responsibilities include supporting learning in groups and 1:1, assisting the class teacher, and fostering a positive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a school, nursery, or support worker setting.
• Patient, proactive, and adaptable approach.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Commitment to full-time hours, Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Deliver targeted interventions.
• Assist the class teacher with classroom activities.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment.
